Review Time! - Mercury III Cosmetics
How's it going BFFs? I just got back to California after vacationing in my hometown in Holland (Europe). After this relaxing vacation, I have so much planned for you, I get excited just thinking about it. If you've been following my Instagram (@kimberlycaines) or my YouTube Channel you might have seen me rave about Mercury III Cosmetics. If you have not heard of Mercury III Cosmetics, you should pay really close attention to this blog, because you don't want to miss out on this up-and-coming cosmetics brand!
Mercury III Cosmetics are all vegan and highly pigmented. The company name represents the entire universe and solar system and is also spiritually inspired (The III in the name stand for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit). The colors of the lippies and eye shadows are very vibrant and exude energy. When I first received the cosmetics, I was a little hesitant, because I normally tend to opt for natural, not-so-obvious shades. However, after playing with the colors, I am convinced that I have been missing out. This makeup is beautiful, fun and definitely not boring. I've been getting so many compliments, which really motivates me to continue wearing more vibrant colors. Aside from this, the quality of the makeup is excellent and really pleasantly surprised me. Let me show you some of the products I received.
Mercury III Zodiac Lip Gloss
Mercury III lip glosses are named after the zodiac signs. I received Pisces and Leo. Upon applying the Mercury III lip glosses that I received I instantly noticed that my lips felt moisturized. This is because they contain jojoba oil and carnauba wax. I also noticed that this product is very much like a lipstick that smoothly glides on like a lip gloss. The colors were true to the picture that you see above. You can apply the lippies as thick or as thin as you want to achieve the desired dept. Knowing that these lip glosses are cruelty free, vegan friendly and hypoallergenic only makes me like this brand even more. BFF, if you are worried about wearing uncommon lipstick colors.. .Get over it... Just check out my YouTube Channel if you need some direction on how to wear them.
Galaxy Mineral Eye Shadow
Just like the lippies above, the eye shadows by Mercury III are also hypoallergenic, vegan and cruelty free. I instantly noticed that the red color (Mars) has some more sparkle to it compared to the green (Berry Christmas) color. When applying these intense pigmented colors, you must be careful that you don't get product on your cheeks. Ideally, use eyeshadow shields like I did in my tutorial video. Also, to ensure proper application, apply the shadows with a light patting motion rather than a sweeping motion. I like that you can gradually built up the intensity of the color by applying several layers of products. If you're like me, and not used to wearing pigmented colors, these are the perfect shades to start with, because they flatter every skin tone and are so easy to apply. You will fall in love with these in no time.
Mercury III Star Face Illuminator
BFF, if you are looking to get a beautiful hard-to-ignore glow, this is the product for you. When I first saw this golden mineral powder in its container, I had no clue what it would look like on my skin. Then, once I applied it, I couldn't help but apply more and more of it. It has some sparkle to it, but not too much to the point where it overpowers your face. It is just the right amount of subtle golden bling. There are no words to describe how I felt when I saw how this powder transformed my skin. I found it easiest applied with a bushy blush brush. This powder is the perfect finishing touch to your makeup when going out for a night on the town or to a party. In my video, I applied it on my cheekbones, but you can apply it everywhere the sun hits your face. Just like the other products previously mentioned, this beauty is also vegan, hypoallergenic and cruelty free.
