Review Time! Ole Henriksen Balance AM/PM Regimen

Hi BFFs, I'm so exited to write this review, because it's about Ole Henriksen's Balance AM/PM Regimen products. I've reviewed Ole Henriksen's products before, so when Influenster sent me these brand new goodies, I couldn't wait to try them and tell you guys about them.

Now, all of you know I love makeup and do the whole beauty YouTuber/Instagram thing... I love doing that. Having said that, proper skin care is essential to me, because if your skin's not right, your makeup will never look good. Gals, there is only so much makeup and good lighting can hide. If you have pores the size of craters (or at least in your head think that they're that big), this review will be very helpful. Remember, this is Kimberly... I tell it like it is. If I don't like something about a product, I don't hold back. I believe honest reviews are the best. I'm writing this review after using this regimen for 10 days. So here are my findings so far.

The Balance Regimen

The Ole Henriksen Oil Control Regimen consists of the use of three products

1) The Balance Oil Control Cleanser

2) The Balancing Force Oil Control Toner

3) The Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator

The products are powered by the Green Fusion Complex and include neem seed oil & AHA's. They must be used in the order above every day and night to see the full effect. All together they control oil (for oily skin types), mattify (so you're not glowing like an oil slick) and they refine pores.

Balance Oil Control Cleanser

This baby came to me just in time, because I had just run out of my regular facial cleanser. Generally, I'd be skeptical to put any new product on my skin. The only reason I used this is because I'm familiar with this brand already and my skin hasn't had an adverse reaction to any of their other products. I loved the eucalyptus-peppermint scent of this product. It reminded me of being at a spa or sauna. The opaque cleanser applied easily on wet skin and after massaging it in a circular motion, it washed off easily and got rid of all my makeup. Afterward, my skin felt as if it had eaten a menthol/eucalyptus throat lozenge. Hope that makes sense, but that's the most clear way to describe it.

Balancing Force Oil Control Toner

In my everyday skincare routine, I don't use a toner. Years ago, I included it in my daily ritual, but over time, I just stopped purchasing toner. In order to review this regimen in an honest manner, I knew I would have to try the toner. I'm happy to say that it was very pleasant and refreshing. I simply apply the liquid to a cotton makeup remover pad and gently swipe it over my skin in a circular motion. After using the toner, I felt like excess oil was gone from my face; it was almost like my face just had a fresh, cool shower. Again, the eucalyptus-peppermint scent was very pleasant.

Counter Balance Oil Control Hydrator

After using the cleanser and toner, this hydrating lotion is the perfect finishing touch. It mattifies skin and I quickly noticed how easily my skin absorbed the lotion. A dime-size dollop was enough for my entire face and neck. My skin didn't feel greasy or dry afterward; just nicely moisturized. This lotion is said to extend the life of your foundation, which I have not paid much attention to, but also don't recall having any issues with. This lotion also contains that same pleasant eucalyptus-peppermint scent as the previous two products used in this regime.

Conclusion

If your skin is combination to oily and if you have large pores, you won't regret using this regimen. Honestly, my pores are not big at all, but the ones that were visible, seemed to instantly get smaller after using the three products. My skin just looked healthy and my rosy cheeks reminded me of what my skin looks like after a good cardio session in the gym. My face was glowing (its that ole-glow!) and I'm not talking about that annoying oily glow. I am a big fan of the scent of these products, and caught myself constantly inhaling deeply while using them. It would be ideal if the toner bottle had some kind of stop, so it dispenses just get the right amount to use each time. I found myself using too much several times. Also, the hydrator is for use during daytime and nighttime. This means that it doens't contain SPF. I would recommend using a separate SPF lotion during daytime in addition to the hydrating lotion. Aside from this, I really cannot think of other reasons why not to use these products. Oh and as an added bonus, the bright green packaging looks super cute on the bathroom counter. Ole Henriksen has another winner with this regimen. I feel extremely lucky to have been able to try it and review it.

Have you tried any Ole Henriksen products before? Let me know what you think of them. Would you consider using the above balancing regimen? Don't be shy, type something below.... I want to know what you're thinking. Sharing is caring! xoxo
