Review Time! Willing Beauty - I took the HY5 Challenge!
Hey BFFs, hope you are doing fabulous. I'm coming at you today with a skincare regimen that I tried and would like to tell you about. First of all, you might recall that I am very hesitant just putting anything on my face. However, I cannot do an honest review without trying the product, so I had to get over it. Well, at least for five days, because that's how long it takes to do the HY-5 Challenge set forth by Willing Beauty. After using their skincare regimen for five days, they state that "happy, healthy and glowing skin will be visible. To find out whether it did, keep reading.
I received five products from Willing Beauty:
Do Over - Nourishing Cleanser
Get Set - SPF 30 Tinted Primer
Daydream - Illuminating Day Moisturizing
Partner in Time - Age Defying Night Serum
Sleepover - Replenishing Night Cream
I loved the blue packaging of the products -- it absolutely made them stand out on my vanity. I used all five products. In the morning, I used the cleanser, moisturizer and tinted primer, and at night time, I used the cleanser, night serum and night cream. The regimen is based on the HY+5 complex. HY stands for Hyaluronic Acid, a substance that's naturally already present in the body. By applying it on your skin, it's known to reduce fine lines and wrinkles and help promote skin moisture. +5 Stands for the five ingredients that have been added to the Willing Beauty regimen. They include Prickly Pear Cactus Seed Oil, Alpine Edelweiss, Vitamin C, Antarctic Glycoproteins and Deep Sea Hydrothermal Enzymes.
After just one day of using the products, I could've sworn I saw a change in my skin already. My skin just looked refreshed. (Maybe it was just tired from my everyday routine that never changes at all -- day in and day out, I just used the same products). I continued using the products religiously. The products don't have a strong perfume to them, just a light fresh scent that I found very pleasant. So pleasant in fact that each time when I applied the day moisturizer or the night cream, I would breath in deeply. After five days, my skin looked refreshed. Although I often don't get enough sleep, I looked wide awake and I found that my skin had a glow to it. In my normal everyday routine, I always use an eye cream. This regimen didn't have an eye cream and although I am used to applying one, my skin didn't seem to miss it.
If your skincare routine could use a change, these products might be just what your skin is craving. If you want to try the regimen yourself, or find out more about Willing Beauty and their products, click here to go to the company website, or check them out on Instagram @willingbeautycompany. I should also add that Willing Beauty doesn't test their products on animals, and all their products are free of parabens, sulfates, DEA, phthalates, mineral oils, chemical sunscreens and synthetic fragrances. If that doesn't sound good, I don't know what does.
